MARCH 2020

Glory Denied

Based on the poignant true story of Colonel Jim Thompson, Vietnam veteran and America’s longest-held prisoner of war, this moving chamber opera explores the Thompson family’s personal struggles that play out on a national stage - from the jungles of Vietnam to the social upheaval of the ‘60s in America.

Produced at the Walton Arts Center in March 2020.

MARCH 2019

Dark Sisters

Nico Muhly and Stephen Karam’s daring chamber opera tells the story of Eliza who—following a raid on the compound where she lives—finds herself grappling with issues of faith, family, and personal identity as well as the impact of these doubts on her relationships with her daughter and sister-wives—the only family she has ever known. Produced at the Walton Arts Center in March 2019.
